TACOBITCH (NO)

 Tacobitch havde allerede en hype omkring sig allerede inden, at de havde spillet mange shows. Der var rekordlang kø til festivalen by:Larm i 2019, og siden den gang har de kapret et bredt spektrum af publikummer på Norges mange scenekunst -og koncertscener samt festivaler, sårligt også grundet deres skarpe tilstedeværelse på scenen, og et rygte baseret på strategisk, men legende mystik. Efter indspilningen af et kommende album her i vinteren 2023, vil Tacobitch afsted på tour igen. Selvom de har udgivet to EP'er ("Humami" og “Jumami” via LEKK), er deres univers bedst udtalt som en liveoplevelse: Tacobitch består både af musikere og scenekunstnere, og live gør de brug af dramaturgi, scenografi, kostumer og koreogradi til at udvide forståelsen af, hvad en koncertoplevelse kan rumme og være. Via deres anonyme alter egoer spiller de på vores alles fascniation af spetaklet som deres hovedinstrument. Med et miks af det grænseoverskrivende, skumle og humoristiske, vil de vise folk et utopisk håb for festen som løsning, alle udklædt i dystopiske kostumer. Techno. Dans. Et show du sent vil glemme.

Tacobitch was in demand even before they had done anything, which resulted in record long queues when they debuted at by:larm Festival 2019. Since then, they have captured a wide range of audiences at Norway's many performing arts and music stages and festivals, with their sharp stage presence and a reputation based on strategic, but playful mystery. Following the recording of their first album during the winter of 2023, they will go out and play again. Because even though Tacobitch has released two EPs ("Humami" and “Jumami” on LEKK) since their inception, you can only fully understand their universe if you experience them live. Consisting of both musicians and dancers, Tacobitch uses theater, scenography, costume and choreography to expand what can be understood as a concert experience, and through their anonymous alter-egos they play on our common fascination with “the spectacle” as their main instrument. Appropriately transgressive, appropriately scary and appropriately fun, they want to show people a utopian hope for the generous party as a solution -Dressed in a dystopian garb. Techno. Dance. Show.
